ABOUT JM J. Martinez aka JM an 15 year veteran on stage was born and raised in New York City. JM has been with Grammy nominated group Fulanito since 2003. Fulanito was nominated in Premio Lo Nuestro for Group of the year and Album of the Year in which JM participated in 4 songs singing lead in "TODAVIA" and the hook in "PEGATE". JM has touched the hearts of many fans around the world for many years visiting over 30 states within the United States and most of Latin America, and as far as Australia. Over the years JM has appeared in television and video programs such as, Sabado Gigante, Primer Impacto, The Roof, Caliente, Despierta America, LTV, MTV en espanol, Escandalo TV and many more. JM has also appeared in a movie in 2001 called R-Xmas Directed by Abel Ferrara ( who has directed movies like king of New York, china girl, and Body Snatchers, among many more) staring Lillo Brancato, Drea De Matteo and Ice-T. JM also sang back up for 11 year veteran Group ORO SOLIDO, which had great hits like La Tangita Roja, Maria Se Fue, Esta Ensendido, La Paleta, Esta Cache, among many more. Oro Solido has traveled the world and appeared in many Television programs and performed for 100's of Thousands of Fans. JM started his career with Legendary Latin group THE NEW YORK BAND, in which he sang 4 songs on the groups last Album GOING NORTH. The New York band were a hit in Latin America with "CHUPA CABRA" and "SOLTERA" JM was excited to have such a great opportunity in living a dream not knowing how far he would get in this business. Throughout the years, JM has learned a lot, matured, and is now ready to take on the stage on his own. He describes his style as commercial for radio and as versatile for all ages in this urban hip hop reggaeton generation. His first performance was at the age of 17 with a hip hop Christian church in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The reggaeton evolution has open the door’s and P.O.P RECORDS has given JL MadSkillz the opportunity to sign and make my music a reality. JL has waited for his moment and the opportunity to spread his music to the world and with JM and P.O.P RECORDS it will finally happen. He identifies with artist inside the reggaeton genre whom deserves respect for there lyrics and good job of there music like (TEMPO). By being originally from Puerto Rico and having the ability to understand that reggaeton music comes from his island he knows the audience will Crete him on his lyrics and stage persona. What sets JL from the mainstream is the ability to sing as well as rap inside the music he makes. JL first got turned on to music since he first had reason and knowledge and knew that music lives in him.
